PLN launches prequalification for 3 gas and coal fired power plant projects

State electricity company PT PLN has launched pre-qualifications for the development of gas fired and coal fired power plants located in West Java, West Kalimatnan and North Sulawesi province.

The potential sponsors will develop Jawa-1 Gas Turbine/Combined Cycle Power plant with a capacity of 1,600 MW (2×800 MW) located in West Java, 100 MW Pontianak Peaker Gas Turbine/Gas Engine/Combined Cycle Power plant in West Kalimantan and Sulawesi Utara-3 Coal Fired Steam Power Plant with capacity of 100 MW (2×50 MW).
